Love this time of year =)

I just absoultely LOVE this time of year! We had a fun weekend! Joaquin had a tee ball game Saturday morning. I love watching him play! He gets so excited about tee ball! It is hilarious because when he is out there he is just lovin it but he does not ever want to run to the bases, he walks and he does not like to wear his glove or hat in the outfield either, he likes playing in the dirt!! I LOVE it though! I am just glad Joaquin likes to play and be out there! Here are some pictures from his game! I love that we get to wear shirts too, me and Rick have a tee ball shirt that we wear that says "Joaquin's mom" for me and "Joaquin's dad" for Rick! We are sooooo proud to wear these shirts!

After the tee ball game we went to the park. It was just such a gorgeous day, there was no way we were going to stay inside. Here are pictures of us at the park!

I loved being on the see saw!! I was actually a little bummed when Joaquin was ready to get off because I wanted to stay on!!


After the park we took Joaquin to the pumpkin patch and let him pick out some pumpkins! Oh my!! His beauty is OUT OF CONTROL!!!!

Then on Sunday after we came home from another great time worshiping the Lord at the best church ever, Westridge Church!! If you are not involved in a church, then let me invite you to Westridge Church! I have never met so many loving, caring and compassionate people in my life who are sharing and spreading the Word of Jesus Christ not just around our community but around the world and its all for Him and the Kingdom of Heaven!! So after church we hung up our fall/Halloween decorations:







Thank You Dear Father in Heaven for this beautiful weekend I got to spend with my family! I just want to continue to live for You and surrender all my issues with our finances, bad economy, school, parenting and marriage to you. Without You I cant make it. Thank You Dear Lord for changing my life 9 years ago when I prayed for You to come into my heart and save me and forgive me of all my sins. Just an update =)

My favorite time of year is finally here!!! I love September 1-Dec. 31!! I LOVE it because it's Joaquin's birthday (at the end of October), tons of our friends and family has birthdays and parties at this time of year, I love the cooler weather, I love the fact that since it is cooler weather that I do not have to shave my legs everyday! I love all the craft shows and fall festivals! I love Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas, I love all the food at the holidays and I love eating soup once it is cold enough for it, I love pumpkins, hayrides, and being able to have the windows open all day at home, I LOVE FOOTBALL!! GO GATORS!! I love Christmas shopping, I am the one waiting for the doors to open at 4am the day after Thanksgiving! I love decorating our house and yard!! OH, YES, I dont know if this happens to anyone else but I love fall also because no more tank tops, I mean no matter what deoderant I get I still get white at the armpits of my tank tops then I have to get it off before I leave the house, so in the fall I have longer sleeves so I can roll that deoderant all the way to my elbows and nobody would ever know!! I just LOOOVE this time of year!! I mean really, how can you be in a bad mood during this time of year!!! Its WONDERFUL!! So what is new with us..... actually not much! Joaquin just started his first year of tiny tots tee ball!! He had his first game this past Saturday! It was so much fun to watch! He did great!!

This is going to be sooo much fun watching Joaquin every Saturday! Everything else is going good! Me and Rick are excited that our journey group starts this Friday night! This is our first time leading a journey group and it is a completely new group, so it should be fun!! We just pray it all goes well and that everyone that comes not only has a good times and makes new friends but they learn more and grow closer to the Lord!

Taking a new direction.....

I have had an emotional weekend as most of my wonderful friends know! For those that dont know, I did not get into my program this fall. I had a 4.0 and a pretty decent PSB exam score and I was told that I just missed it by a few spots. There were 40 people with 4.0's and they only accepted 11 students and I barely missed that cut off. I was pretty upset when I found out Sunday afternoon. I cried and cried and cried! Rick was so sweet, he rubbed my head to sleep Sunday night and Joaquin kept following me around saying "momma dont cry." I cried alot on Monday too, just feeling a little lost and not understanding God's plan right now. But today I woke up with a new attitude. I had a lot of friends send me emails saying that they were praying for me and me and Rick have been in prayer a lot the last two days as well. I can not dwell on this. If I did not get in then that is what God's will was and I should not be upset about it because I do just want to follow the Lord and let His will be done in my life and it was His will that I did not get in this year. So right now I am just trying to live day by day. I think I will try and re-apply next year and we have also decided to start trying to have a baby again. We have had a long disapointing road with trying to conceive but we have also had a wonderful miracle, Joaquin as well. So we are officially trying to have another baby. We are just praying that it is the Lord's will that we get pregnant with a healthy baby and we are specifically praying that we get pregnant in the next month or two. We were also thinking about putting Joaquin in pre-school this year, he is on two waiting lists right now. So again, if its the Lord's will for Joaquin to be in school then an opening will come up and if not, then an opening will not come up, either way we are fine!

Its a new day and a new direction we are heading down now. I just prayed and asked for God's forgiveness for getting so upset about my school. I really try to have a positive attitude all the time but it was just not happening over this weekend! I do, however, have my positive attitude back today, thank the Lord! We are just trusting in the Lord right now, He will not lead us in the wrong direction, so where ever our lives lead us from here on out, I am fine with it and will praise Him for it!!

Thanks to all my wonderful friends for praying for me!! I love all of you!! And I love my mom for being there for me too (as she always is)!!

My little angel face Joaquin!

I just thank God everyday for my sweet little angel face Joaquin! I can not believe how fast time has gone by since he was born. I can not believe that he will be 3 years old in October!! Its crazy!! I literally cry on a weekly basis (tears of joy that is) just looking at Joaquin, its like I can never get enough of him!! He is just so beautiful and perfect and precious!! I just love him so much its ridiculous!! Just a few of the reasons why I love him is that he is just so smart and he is so loving and so caring. I think anyone who has ever been around Joaquin at all says that. He loves giving hugs and kisses. We literally play this game everyday where Joaquin will say "momma let me kiss your nose" then after he kisses my nose, he says "now kiss my nose" We do this several times everyday! He gives me kisses all the time and I am surprised he has any cheeks left with the amount of kissses I give him! He is so loving with everything, not just people! The other day we were potty training and he is so proud of himself because now he does not need a stool anymore to pee in the potty, he can now stand on his tip toes and reach the toilet on his own. So the other day he said "momma I have to go pee pee on my tip toes" so we ran to the bathroom and then after he went to the potty, he flushed the toilet and waved and said "bye bye pee pee, I love you" Isnt that just so sweet and funny!! He just has such a great sense of humor and he is just so energetic!! I love how he loves to help, we pretty much take him with us everywhere, especially when we are helping out or volenteering for something, Joaquin just jumps right in and helps, I love watching him help fill the bags with food for CAYA! I love his sweet little voice! I never get tired of listening to him talk and man can he talk!! I love how he loves football!! I love that he is excited about playing tee ball this fall! I love how he dances to music! I love how he likes to try and help me in the kitchen and help Rick out in the yard and help Rick fix stuff! I love that Joaquin says "Jesus is my Savior" I love that Joaquin says "God and Jesus loves me and I love God and Jesus"! I love that Joaquin tells me literally 100 times a day that he loves me, and tells Rick all the time too that he loves him! I love that he loves big trucks and tractors! I mean I could spend all day and night talking about my precious little angel face! But I just wanted to give you just a few reasons why Joaquin is so beautiful and wonderful and my little miracle baby face!! Here are a few pictures of him from this weekend. He loves this little horse head with the stick and he runs around the house with it saying "yeehaw, yeehaw" and here is a picture of him with his flashlight! He loves his Handy Manny flashlight! Oh yeah, and another reason why I love my little pookie, if you notice he is not fully dressed in any of these pictures. He never wants to wear shirts and a lot of times he does not even want to wear pants! I just love his personality and his indepedance that he has!!

Community Makeover Weekend!

We had a great weekend! It started off with some rain on Friday which always makes some big mud puddles on the side of our house, so here is Joaquin playing in the mud puddles!





Then on Saturday we all went to this sweet lady's house who is battling stage 4 cancer. Everyone was able to clean her house, fix the front yard, put up a fence, tile the bathroom, and fix some other things in her house too. Here are just a few of the pictures from Saturday!










Then on Sunday we went to the Community Makeover Celebration Service! It was fun but a little stressful, Joaquin was a little rowdy that night! But here are some pictures of everyone at the CMO Celebration Service!











So at the end of the night when Brian was giving people a chance to pray to recieve Christ and then he asked everyone to stand up who just prayed that, well Debbie (the lady's house we did for the project) stood up!! Isn't that amazing!! We all went over and hugged her and she was saying how she is going to start coming to Westridge! It was a perfect ending to our weekend!

Let's see, what have we been up too...............

Well, we are still enjoying our summer! I am loving it! We have had a great week! Rick is still getting a lot of work and staying really busy! We are trying to get a cheap truck for him so that he can stop driving my car back and forth to work so that I can have my car back! I miss not having a car during the day! But I cant complain, at least he is working!

We have been a little worried about making sure we have enough money for our mortgage for August. So we were suppose to get about $800.00 back from our insurance company now that we have finished fixing all the water damage to our house. Well we were suppose to get the check at the end of this week and then I got a letter in the mail saying we are not going to get it! Well long story short, I started freaking out and getting upset! So I called the insurance company and the guy was nice and said he understood our situation and he was going to see what he could do. I was so annoyed the rest of the day. Then I had to force myself to pray and just thank God for this particular situation that we are now in and ask for forgiveness for getting upset. Well the next day I get a check in the mail and lets me just say it was WAY WAY WAY more than $800.00!!!!!!!! I am just so excited! I prayed and thanked Jesus and again asked for forgiveness for doubting him and getting so upset. Somedays I forget to stay calm and just pray and thank Him in all situations and this was just a little reminder of that! I am just so thankful that our finances are starting to get straightened out, slowly but surely!

I have really learned over the last year that it is okay to pray for the smaller things in life. Like for a while I use to feel like I should not pray for the little things because there are so many bigger problems than what is going on in my life like the war in Iraq or children going hungry. But I have learned that it is okay for me to pray to not have menstral cramps, or praying that I make an A on a test or praying for a certain amount of money that we need. Just because it may not seem big to everyone, it is big in my life at that moment and God knows that and cares! And most importantly He answers prayers no matter if they are big or small! I just thank the Lord for letting me and my family wake up another day happy and healthy and getting another day to live for Him and His kingdom!

Anyways, we had a fun weekend. Here are some pictures of Joaquin from Saturday. We went to Homespun which is a craftshow/car show with a parade that they do every year in Rockmart then that night we went to a neighborhood block party which was fun too!

And this is how Joaquin ended is busy Saturday, with a big slushie drink from the QT! Of course, he had some help, he would have been up all night if we would have let him drink that all by himself!!

On another note, I have had several people ask me how the potty training is going with Joaquin. Well he is getting there! He is going to the potty alot but mainly only because I have to keep taking him about every 30 mintues to an hour. He has just recently gotten to where when he wakes up he tells me that he has to go and he goes! YAY! But throughout the day he will say he has to go and then we run to the bathroom and its a "false alarm". But I still encourage him and tell him good try and we also still have some accidents but it is getting better! I have no patience so this is a very interesting phase for me. I love every minute of being a mommy and enjoy every phase whether its a cute sweet phase or a less cute phase like throwing fits for example! I feel like I spend all day in the bathroom and I cant wait until the day where I dont have to say 100 times a day "Do you need to pee-pee in the potty?" or "dont forget to let mommy know when you have to pee-pee" It's sweet though watching Joaquin get excited when he does go and then I always give him candy or a cookie or something when he does.

Ok, well busy weeks coming up! Next week really busy, then the week after that is the community makeover, we are very excited about the project we will be doing and then the weekend after that is the Fresh Hope which we are also very excited about helping out with! 4th of July weekend Celebration!!

We had a great weekend!! It started off Friday night going with our friends Bryan and Tonya and their son Preston to see some fireworks in Villa Rica!! Joaquin and Preston get along great so they had fun playing together!!

Then on Saturday we had a very busy day. One of my good friends, Bekah had a birthday party for her son, Luke that turned 2 on 4th of July (how fun!) So we went to the party then off to a cookout at my parents after that then to my sister Felicia's new house after that to watch fireworks in Cartersville. Then on Sunday, our friend Bryan came over to help Rick start working on our floors, yay, we finally got them in!! After that we went with Bryan and Tonya and their son, Preston to the Night of Worship!! We LOVED it!! We LOVE Westridge!!

So we had a great weekend!! We just love our family and friends and had so much fun with them this weekend!!
